Did It Work

I have been a mounted shooting client of Kenny Lawson for nearly 2 years, and my aged quarter horse Cowboy has been under his care for over 1 ½ years.  Cowboy was a runaway–no whoa. He whacked me into the arena fences and barrels.  Sometimes he quit the field and ran for home. Kenny asked me if he could fix Cowboy.  But meanwhile, Kenny changed my saddle, my stirrup position and length, my seat, my cadence, my rein length, and changed my reining commands (“bump and go”).  He changed Cowboy’s headstall, bit, added a caveson, and started commanding respect from the old boy in slow reining maneuvers and daily work.  My times have improved and I have stopped being hurt. Cowboy is a good boy, and I am having fun!! Elaine Hill.
“Watching Kenny work with horses is amazing. He doesn't just train them, he communicates with them.  He doesn't just work them, he dances with them. This is a trainer who truly has a passion for horses.  He is also an incredible mentor and coach to his students in creating and nurturing a partnership between horse and rider.  Horsemanship is an overused term that is sometimes hard for people to understand, Kenny is truly a teacher of horsemanship” Theresa and Cheyne Orijuela
Kenny is a talented horse trainer who was able to take my horse Dallas from a runaway to a steady mounted shooting horse in just a few short months. He worked with me to improve my riding and to give me the tools to maintain Dallas' performance long after I brought him home. I have never been happier with my horse.  As a champion mounted shooter Ken is uniquely qualified to help his clients achieve their mounted shooting goals Kim Nelson.
